Calling the Nations to repentance- this website is for a mature public   The Verdict    Be Born Again

The war ends with Jesus! It is written: "Jesus: "You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.' But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. ... But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. ... If you love those who love you, what reward will you get." -Matthew 5:38, 43, 46

Blessed Are The Peace Makers

[Gold] Glory, Knowledge, Truth, Eternal Life, Kingship, Divine Nature of Jesus

It is written: [Jesus:] "Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.  Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven." -Matthew 5:7-10

Martin Luther King, Jr. had it right:  "The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral, begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy. Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it. Through violence you may murder the hater, but you do not murder hate.  In fact, violence merely increases hate. Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out hate; only love can do that."

“Evil is not just a chapter in history, it is a reality of the human heart.  …[We are] training professionals such as FBI agents, military officers, American diplomats, Christian clergy, and UN staff.” -United States Holocaust Museum; Confronting Hatred, Anti-Semitism and Holocaust Denial; 2007 Report

America in True Perspective "Whereas the mindset of Jesus was deeply trenched in the culture of peace, the mindset of most of our US government officials is deeply ingrained in the culture of war." -Charles Mercieca, Ph.D. President International Association of Educators for World Peace Dedicated to United Nations Goals of Peace Education, Environmental Protection, Human Rights & Disarmament

"Kill or be killed" is a catchy phrase and certainly has a lot of justification when armed aggression is manifesting itself for real. One must do what one must do to the extent of ones training and outlook at life. Do know, however, that all wars ought to be ending because Jesus came to earth to teach us humans how to think and live rightly in love. In fact, ignorance of God's laws and commandments will not be an excuse when you face eternity and you must stand before Him to give account of your life. So, take the grace and mercy afforded you right now as you read this and be reconciled to God through the shed blood of Christ- only His sacrifice gives men and women eternal life and true individual freedom. Remain where you are for now, but learn to hear and obey the voice of the Holy Spirit to lead you from here on. Politicians and corporate America are out of control! Human Rights Violations in the USA  ... and there's a reason these "leaders" desire young blood to fight their agendas. "The aim- understood by presidents, overlooked by many voters- is eternal mastery and control, which, naturally has a high price. Bacevich's (*1) cool, balanced analysis is compelling, and recalls chilling words penned by James Madison in 1795: 'Of all the dreaded enemies of public liberty, war is perhaps the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. war is the parent of armies. From these proceed debt and taxes. And armies, debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few.'" -Geoffrey Wawro, Professor of strategic studies at the U.S. Naval War college

The first world war...of hatred. “Clergymen were unable, and for the most part unwilling, to place Christian faith before nationality,” observes A History of Christianity. 'Most took the easy way out and equated Christianity with patriotism. Christian soldiers of all denominations were exhorted to kill each other in the name of their Saviour.' But reality soon dawned on the soldiers in the trenches. They discovered that their statesmen had failed them, their clergy had deceived them, and their generals had betrayed them. How so?" -Jehovah's Witnesses, The War That Changed the World, Watchtower 2-1-2014

It is written: "COME NEAR, you nations, and listen; pay attention, you peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that is in it, the world, and all that comes out of it! The LORD is angry with all nations; his wrath is upon their armies. He will totally destroy them; he will give them over to slaughter.” -Isaiah 32:1-2

"Prior to the UN's creation, armed aggression was not regulated by international law. But with the UN countries agreed, in article 2(4), that "All Members shall refrain in their international relations from the threat or the use of force against any state." If taken literally, that outlaws war." -History Book Club review: War Law, Michael Byersl

"The world has achieved brilliance without wisdom, power without conscience. Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants. "Many of the two million American troops deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001 will suffer from traumatic brain injury (TBI), depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)- and these diagnosis often overlap. A think tank at Rand Corporation estimates that more than 26% of troops will return with mental health issues." -Report, Fall 2011, page 13

"You may have heard the news about the number of military suicides in 2012. A record 349 American troops took their own lives last year." -Campus Crusade for Christ (March 14, 2013)

Soldiers of the Cross- "A Holy Nation"

Paul used the illustration of becoming good soldiers, not of this world, but of Christ. "No man [Christian] that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." (2 Timothy 2:4) Paul is instructing Christians that if they are in Christ they are not to become entangled with the affairs of this life.

The true Christian church scattered throughout all nations is called a holy nation and, again, their Kingdom is not of any government of this earth. (1 Peter 2:9) Each child of God, therefore, feels a spiritual unity with their fellow Christians no matter what country they are from. Their warfare is not against the nations of this world. Their warfare is against their real enemies—worldly influences, their own fleshly weaknesses and the devil.

Therefore, as soldiers of the cross, Christians are to put on the symbolic armor of God. "Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God..." (See Ephesians 6:11-17) Yes, as Christian soldiers, our battles are not with others, but with ourselves and our own fallen tendencies. "Fight the good fight of faith..." 1 Timothy 6:12

Note that, in the list of Christian armor, the only defensive tool is the sword of the Spirit—the Word of God. The disciple of Christ must use none of Satan's weapons—anger, malice, hatred, strife, evil speaking, etc. After enlisting as a soldier of the cross, this sword of the Spirit can only be obtained and used properly by careful Bible study. -Associated Bible Students of Central Ohio, PO Box 813, Westerville, Ohio • 43086-0813

Thomas Millington's Parade float July 2005; Scripture on trailer is 1Cor.13:4-8 below.

It is written: "Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.  Love never fails.-1 Corinthians 13:4-8

"If anyone says, 'I love God,' yet hates his brother, he is a liar. For anyone who does not love his brother, whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. And he has given us this command: Whoever loves God must love his brother." -1 John 4:20, 21

"Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else." -1 Thessalonians 5:15

"Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves." -Romans 12:9, 10

"For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love." -Galations 5:6

Be born again in the TRUE Jesus

If it had not been for the Lord, who reached out to us we would have perished in our own selfishness.  If it had not been for the Lord, who healed our wounds we would have succumbed to pain and sorrow.  Praise be to God who reaches out to us, healing and restoring our lives.  All thanks be to God for the many ways in which our lives have been blessed. -written by Rev. Nancy Townley
