Exodus records the dramatic confrontation of Moses and
Pharaoh, the crossing of the Red Sea, the journey to Mount Sinai and the two
major events at Sinai- the giving of the Law and the construction of the
Tabernacle. The book shows how God took an unorganized group of slaves and
welded them together as a theocratic nation. i.e., a nation ruled by God.
